Who we are

This website is operated by Cyber Electra Inc., a cybersecurity, privacy and compliance consulting firm based in Aurora, Ontario, Canada. Threat Risk Assessment is a practice of Cyber Electra Inc. Where this policy says "we", it means Cyber Electra Inc.

What this policy covers

This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, why we collect it, and what we do with it. It covers threatriskassessment.ca only. Information handled during a client engagement is governed by the agreement in place for that engagement, not by this policy.

What we collect

We collect the information you choose to send us. If you use the contact form, it opens your own email application with the details you entered, and you decide whether to send the message. When you email us, we receive your name, your email address, and anything else you include.

Our hosting provider records standard server logs, which typically include IP addresses, browser type and pages requested. These logs exist for security and reliability, including detecting and responding to attacks on this site.

What we do not do

• We do not sell personal information.
• We do not share your information with advertisers.
• We do not use your information to build advertising profiles.

Why we use it

We use the information you send us to respond to your enquiry, to scope and quote work you have asked about, and to keep records of our business correspondence. We use server logs to keep the site available and secure.

Legal basis and your rights

In Canada, our handling of personal information is subject to PIPEDA and applicable provincial privacy legislation. Depending on where you are located, you may have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to ask us to correct it, and to ask us to delete it. To make any of these requests, email info@cyberelectra.com and we will respond within the timeframes the law requires.

How long we keep it

We keep business correspondence for as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected, and afterwards for as long as we are required to for legal, tax or professional obligations. Server logs are retained on our provider's standard schedule.

Service providers

This site runs on third-party hosting infrastructure and uses fonts served by Google Fonts, which means your browser requests those font files from Google's servers when you load a page. We do not run advertising trackers on this site.

Security

We apply the safeguards we would expect of any organization we assess, including access control, patching and monitoring. No system is without risk, and we do not claim otherwise. If you believe you have found a security issue with this website, please tell us at info@cyberelectra.com and we will look into it promptly.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be described here rather than made quietly.
